Terms of Service

AICP (AI Inference Control Plane) is operated by Amit Gupta, Eichendorffstraße 17, 10115 Berlin, Germany (see our Imprint). These terms govern your organisation's use of AICP's Cloud and Enterprise plans. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them on behalf of your organisation.

AICP is an inference control plane: it classifies each request, routes it to an appropriate AI model across the providers you've connected, enforces the policies your organisation configures (data residency, model allow/blocklists, budget guards, PII redaction), and records usage for billing and observability. AICP does not itself generate the model responses you receive; those are produced by the third-party AI providers your requests are routed to.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your organisation's account, including actions taken by team members you invite.

Cloud is self-serve: usage is billed at provider cost plus a 3.5% platform fee, with a limited number of free calls in your organisation's first month as a one-time introductory allowance, not a recurring benefit. There is no request-blocking cap; usage past the free calls (or after the first month) is simply billed.

Enterprise covers self-hosted deployments with custom SLA and pricing terms, arranged directly with us. Where an Enterprise agreement conflicts with these general terms, the signed Enterprise agreement controls.

If you connect your own AI provider API keys, you are responsible for the validity of those keys, for your own agreement with that provider, and for any costs the provider charges you directly. We encrypt connected keys at rest (AES-256-GCM) and never display them in plaintext once saved, but we do not control, and are not responsible for, the uptime, output, or policies of third-party AI providers.

Cloud invoices are generated based on measured usage and sent to the billing contact on your account. Payment is due per the terms stated on the invoice. If you dispute a charge, contact us before the due date so we can investigate before escalating.

You may not use AICP to generate or distribute unlawful content, to attempt to circumvent the policy or security controls your organisation or we have configured, or to resell access to the service without a separate agreement with us permitting it.

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal data, including prompt/completion content and how it is routed to third-party providers. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to submit any personal data contained in your own prompts.

We retain all rights to the AICP software and platform. You retain all rights to the prompts you submit and the outputs you receive, subject to the terms of the underlying model provider.

We aim to keep the Cloud service available and reliable, but Cloud is provided without a formal uptime SLA unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. Enterprise SLA terms are set out in the applicable Enterprise agreement.

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, including the acceptable-use provisions above. On termination, we retain data only as described in our Privacy Policy.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for damages is limited to the fees paid by your organisation in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health, where such limitation is not permitted under German law.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that any specific AI model provider's output will be accurate, complete, or fit for your particular purpose.

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. To the extent legally permitted, the place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany. Mandatory consumer-protection jurisdiction rules, where applicable, remain unaffected.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
